Marq Wine Group Announces New Partnership with the Austrian Wine Marketing Board

Marq Wine Group is thrilled to announce that our newest parter is the Austrian Wine Marketing Board. We look forward to partnering with Austrian winemakers over the next three years to further expand the depth of awareness and understanding of this extraordinary category in the U.S. market. 

 

Julie Peterson, founding partner of Marq Wine Group, announces that Georgian wine exports to the U.S. achieved 29% year-over-year growth for the last six years, allowing Georgian wine exports to the U.S. to reach more than one million bottles, achieving a campaign objective set by the Ministry of Agriculture one year ahead of schedule.

Wines of Provence

Through our work with Wines of Provence, the market value increased from $3.4 million to $132 million and the number of Provence wineries exporting to the U.S. grew from 32 to over 200. Active trade contacts grew by quadrupled, and Wine Enthusiast nominated Provence “Wine Region of the Year” in 2011 and 2016.

Wines of Georgia

Marq Wine Group has been working with Wines of Georgia since the end of 2015. Since that time the Georgian wine market share in the U.S. has increased by 29% year-over-year for the last six years, with no signs of slowing. In fact, Georgian wine exports to the US topped one million bottles by the end of 2021. Georgian wines have been cited as the “wines to watch” since 2018 by Forbes, Food and Wine, and other industry leaders.

Julie and her team applied methods of continual communication, amplification, and improvement, and the needle started to move right way. From the sampling system to the consolidated shipping program, Marq removed market barriers for Georgian wine producers and created a systematic pathway for growth. Alpha & Kir-yianni Estates

Managed media relations for Alpha and Kir-Yianni Estates from the northern Greek region of Amyndeon, which specializes in Xinomavro wines. Gained 21 media placements from 40 sets of samples, reached over 227 million media impressions with cost of $0.08/impression and gained key placements in Forbes, Food & Wine, Food Republic, USA Today
